Erica is a successful film actress who stared alongside Denzel Washington and Melissa McCarthy. She is a long time guest of our show, and we are able to track her progress from the time she arrived in Boston to now, where Erica decided to move to Thailand to become a full time mermaid (yes, you read that right). Erica have travelled all over world and lived in Asia extensively, yet, she is still feeling a knot in her stomach when envisioning her future. She wonders if hypnosis can help her alleviate her anxiety.

Welcome to this new format of Hypnotist Bernie’s Exposition. Thanks to the good people at CCTV, we are able to get a full hour of broadcast every Tuesday night. This new format will enable a much more in depth focus on the issues, as well as a much more realistic demonstration of a real clinical hypnosis session.

Hypnosis is a state of human consciousness involving focused attention and reduced peripheral awareness and an enhanced capacity for response to suggestion. Theories explaining what occurs during hypnosis fall into two groups. Altered state theories see hypnosis as an altered state of mind or trance, marked by a level of awareness different from the ordinary conscious state. In contrast, Non-state theories see hypnosis as a form of imaginative role-enactment

During hypnosis, a person is said to have heightened focus and concentration. The person can concentrate intensely on a specific thought or memory, while blocking out sources of distraction. Hypnotised subjects are said to show an increased response to suggestions.[8] Hypnosis is usually induced by a procedure known as a hypnotic induction involving a series of preliminary instructions and suggestions. The use of hypnotism for therapeutic purposes is referred to as “hypnotherapy”, while its use as a form of entertainment for an audience is known as “stage hypnosis”. Stage hypnosis is often performed by Mentalists practicing the art form of Mentalism 失眠

The Implications of Inhibition on the Practice of Hypnotherapy

There are two major – yet substantially different – concepts regarding the implication of inhibition on the practice of clinical hypnotherapy. The first refers to a voluntary or involuntary diminishment of cerebral blood flow to one or more substrates. Through the use of hypnosis the inhibition of one or more substrates will precipitate an activation of other substrates.

Exposed – The Top Three Myths Surrounding Hypnosis

Myths of hypnosis are discussed and real conditions for usefulness of hypnosis techniques for behavior change are mentioned. Factors in applications of hypnotic techniques; eg. focusing and relaxation are touched upon to give the reader an introduction to the way in which hypnosis can work for each individual.

Mentally Created Neuroplasticity

In prior articles my focus has been on how neuroplasticity follows sensory-deprivation or changes in how the senses are used. The signals capable of creating neural reorganization can also come from the mind.

Is it Possible to Use Covert Hypnosis to Reach My Goals?

If you really want to do something badly but you always seem to be “stuck,” not quite sure how to get there, and not quite sure what to do next, the problem could very well be your subconscious. Hypnosis has proven to be very helpful to people who want to break bad habits, reach goals, and be successful. Covert hypnosis or so-called “street hypnosis” is yet another way to do hypnosis.

Hypnotize Yourself For a Better Life

Reasons and advantages for Hypnotizing Yourself. A step by step account of where and how you can hypnotize yourself dispelling many myths along the way. Gives choices to the best way of achieving total relaxation.

Plasticity and Implications For the Hypnotic Interventions

Increased attention and visualization during meditation increase neural growth in various parts of the brain. However, the impact of imagery also affects other physiological structures. Hypnosis guided imagery have been shown to increase healing rates.

Cooperation and Adaptation

The advance of civilizations requires the instigation of adaptive change within societies as they are forced to adjust to the pain of famine, natural calamities, and war, as well as to the exigencies of fortune. This may move them in a negative or positive direction. If the latter occurs, a review of history clearly shows that one central theme always dominates human – and that of any organism – accomplishment. That theme is cooperation.

Uncover Ways to Find Free Hypnosis Online

Looking for free hypnosis online? You can go to a variety of sites that profess to offer hypnosis online for you. How are you going to decide which is the best thing for you to choose? Are you looking to learn how to become a hypnotist or do you want to get hypnotized online? Depending on what you are looking for you can find all of the answers you need at several excellent sites on the internet. One of the things you want to look for is if the site is run by a member of the American International Association of Hypnosis. This will ensure that they are adhering to the ethical standards set by the Association and are offering only approved guidelines and products that will be beneficial to their clients.

What’s So Great About Covert Hypnosis?

Let’s face it; all of us wish we could be a little happier, feel a little less stressed out, and have things go a little bit better at least some of the time, when things are rough. Have you ever run into somebody who seems to simply exude good cheer, so that when you finish talking to them, you feel better? That person may have been using something called “covert” hypnosis.

Harmony, Rhythms, and Sound

The words harmonize and harmony are used to describe the adaptation process. Pattern encoding involves intensity and timing, much like that experienced with sound and music. Entrainment is the harmonic adaptation of one system – and the elements therein – to others.

Finding a Good Hypnotherapist – What to Look For and Who to Avoid

There is a profusion of therapists out there. Some are great, some are not so good and some are untrained charlatans who could cause more problems than they solve but which is which? This handy guide gives you some of the things to look for so you can sort out the real deals from the real nightmares.

Mind, Brain, and Entrainment

Cognitive neuroscientists continue to seek further relationships between neural structures and behavior (Raz et al. 2006). The previous chapter discusses that neuroplasticity explains how the brain can reorganize. This occurs normally when dormant (or less used) parts of the brain take over a function of another part of the brain due to events such as a stroke.
