Spirit airline A319 takes off from Atlantic City airport, little known flight between altantic city and boston. Actually, most people don’t know Atlantic City has an international airport, and it is a major hub for spirit airline. The flight was… spirited. For the price, I believe it was like 23 dollars before tax and fees, it was a good deal.
Atlantic City International Airport (IATA: ACY, ICAO: KACY, FAA LID: ACY) is a joint civil-military airport 10 miles (16 km) northwest of Atlantic City, New Jersey, in Egg Harbor Township, the Pomona section of Galloway Township and in Hamilton Township.[1] The airport is accessible via Exit 9 on the Atlantic City Expressway. Atlantic City, often known by its initials A.C.[citation needed], is a coastal resort city in Atlantic County, New Jersey, United States, known for its casinos, boardwalk, and beaches. In 2010, the city had a population of 39,558.[12][13][14][23][24] It was incorporated on May 1, 1854, from portions of Egg Harbor Township and Galloway Township.[25] It is located on Absecon Island and borders Absecon, Brigantine, Pleasantville, Ventnor City, Egg Harbor Township, and the Atlantic Ocean.
Atlantic City inspired the U.S. version of the board game Monopoly, especially the street names. Since 1921, Atlantic City has been the home of the Miss America pageant. In 1976, New Jersey voters legalized casino gambling in Atlantic City. The first casino opened two years later.
